Mark joined the firm in August 2008 from Rooks Rider where he
was head of the property litigation department. He brings
over 12 years' experience and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of
commercial and residential property litigation work, including
advising landlords and tenants in relation to contested and
uncontested business lease renewals, forfeiture by peaceable
re-entry and applications for relief from forfeiture, the levying
of distress, possession actions, squatter actions, adverse
possession claims, party wall disputes, dilapidation claims,
injunctions, disputes arising from auctions including
misrepresentation and also reported Court of Appeal cases. Mark has
worked with clients from a wide range of industry sectors,
including retailers and charities, handling their lease
renewals. He also has experience of ADR including
mediation.
Mark regularly writes articles for publications, including
Retail Week, Solicitors Journal, Estates Gazette and Property Law
Journal, and has run seminars for clients and property
professionals including the Junior RICS. Mark is also a
member of the Property Litigation Association.
Outside work Mark's interests include cycling,
skiing, football and an active family life.
