Phil joined the firm in 2000, and leads our
Licensing team. He is ranked a ‘Leader in the Field’ by
Chambers UK. He has handled many high-profile and complex
cases including revocation proceedings. In 2005, he
co-ordinated the legal and procedural requirements for the
transitional licensing applications for many clients.
Phil has run training courses for a
number of clients and local authorities on the Licensing Act 2003
and advised a number of the team’s national clients in a
consultancy capacity on the legal and administrative effects of
licensing reform. He speaks at national licensing conferences
and has also advised the British Institute of Innkeeping on the
NCPLH course.
