Elaine specialises in professional negligence, media law and
commercial litigation. She advises on libel, slander, privacy,
breach of confidence, internet defamation, pre-publication issues,
reputation management and handles libel and privacy litigation. She
also has wide experience of resolving professional negligence
claims and complex commercial and contractual disputes in the High
Court or by alternative dispute resolution and mediation. Elaine
speaks and has written articles on defamation, reputation
management and publishing law. She has a particular interest in
Internet defamation. In 2002, Elaine was awarded an LLM in Advanced
Litigation with distinction from Nottingham Law School. She joined
the firm in 1996 from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain having first
trained in the City with Norton Rose.
