Richard has specialised in working for asset
finance and leasing companies since he qualified in 1988. He
joined the firm in 1996 to set up a unit dealing with contentious
litigation for a range of finance clients including banks,
independent finance institutions and manufacturer
subsidiaries. This unit is now one of the largest in the UK
and covers the full range of contentious litigation and undefended
collections/recoveries; commercial/consumer/industrial,
big/medium/small ticket and regulated/unregulated.
In addition, Richard now spends much of his
time providing non-contentious advice to finance companies on
documentation and compliance, with particular experience in
Consumer Credit. Richard has been closely involved with the
FLA’s responses to the ongoing reform of the Consumer Credit
Act.
Richard is a member of the Finance and
Leasing Associations Litigation Group.
