Joss joined the firm in 1995.  His expertise covers all aspects of charity law and publishing law.  He chairs conferences and is a lecturer on both subjects.  He advises international and national charities, and in publishing advises particularly STM publishers, although he has also been company secretary of an independent publishing company, and regularly advises a range of publishers, agents and authors.  Joss is recognised as a leading lawyer in the fields of charity law and publishing by Chambers.

Joss is a member of the Charity Law Association and the Oxford Publishing Society.  He is author of the NCVO’s guide to Contracts with Public Bodies.

Out of work, Joss is married to a children’s author, has three children, is a trustee of several charities, and helps run children’s activities at church.
