Claire joined Blake Lapthorn's Banking team as
a partner in May 2009, from Clyde & Co where she was head of
banking. She brings over 20 years' experience and has
in-depth knowledge of all aspects of corporate banking work,
including secured and unsecured lending, acquisition finance,
property finance, project finance and capital markets.
Over the last few years Claire has specialised
in property finance, acting for banks, other financial
institutions, funds, property investors and developers on all
aspects of property acquisition and development finance, at a
senior and mezzanine level. Claire has particular expertise in
funding care homes, hotels, restaurants, wine bars and night
clubs. Having worked in house at a number of banks, Claire
understands lenders' sensitivities and priorities and offers
commercial and practical advice.
Claire acts for all of the UK's
main banks and has recently been ranked in Chambers UK as a leader
in her field. She is quoted as "getting straight to the heart of
