Fiona joined the firm in July 2008 to lead our Family Law team
in London. Fiona trained in the firm's Portsmouth office and has
specialised in family law since qualifying in 1986. She has
particular expertise in co-habitation agreements, separation
agreements and property disputes, and pre-nuptial
agreements. Her work mainly consists of the resolution of
financial disputes and issues relating to children as a result of
divorce or separation. She also deals with claims where a
deceased's will has not made proper financial provision for
dependants.
Fiona is a member of Resolution and is a trained Resolution
mediator. She is able to offer mediation on all aspects of family
law and can carry out Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings
(MIAMS). Fiona regularly writes articles for the Family Law
journal and The Review and has also lectured for CLT. Fiona is
fluent in Dutch, having lived in Amsterdam for three years.
Out of work, Fiona enjoys
spending time with her family – she has two teenage daughters – and
going to the theatre and eating out with friends.
