Blake Lapthorn's Climate Change team were pleased to welcome Tim Kruger, director of Oxford Geoengineering Institute, as its third speaker in the fourth series of green breakfasts on 31 March 2010.  Tim explored the different types of geoegineering and looked at some of the emerging technologies being created in this innovative and developing field.

 

 

If we fail to reduce GHG emissions sufficiently to prevent catastrophic climate change it may be necessary to resort to techniques involving deliberate large scale intervention in the earth's climate system: geoengineering.
