details
Blake Lapthorn's Climate Change team were pleased to welcome Tim
Kruger, director of Oxford Geoengineering Institute, as its third
speaker in the fourth series of green breakfasts on 31 March
2010. Tim explored the different types of geoegineering and
looked at some of the emerging technologies being created in this
innovative and developing field.
If we fail to reduce GHG emissions sufficiently to prevent
catastrophic climate change it may be necessary to resort to
techniques involving deliberate large scale intervention in the
earth's climate system: geoengineering.
