Charities team continues growth as new partner joins

 

Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons is further expanding its renowned Charities team with the appointment of Alison Talbot who joins the firm as partner.

 

Alison joins from Henmans LLP in Oxford where she was head of the charity practice’s non-contentious service. Her main specialism is advising charity legacy officers on the administration of complex estates and trusts, as well as giving advice to trustees on a wide range of charity issues. Alison also deals with trusts, wills, inheritance tax and probate matters.

 

The appointment means that the firm now boasts a five-partner Charity practice which is already ranked top in the South and Thames Valley*.

 

Elizabeth Davis, head of Charities, said: “We are delighted that Alison is joining us as the team continues to build on its leading reputation and expanding the number and size of the clients we advise.”

 

Alison qualified in 1998, and is a member of the Charity Law Association, the Law Society Probate Section, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ (STEP) and gained the STEP diploma. Alison is now based at the firm’s Oxford office in West Way, Botley.

 

Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons’ Charities team is located across its office network in the South, Thames Valley and London. As well as Elizabeth Davis and Alison Talbot, the Charities partners are Joss Saunders, Niall Brook and John Steel.
