Blake Lapthorn runs second series of 'green breakfasts'

Blake Lapthorn is pleased to announce that it will run a second series of breakfast seminars, focusing on some of the most important climate change issues facing businesses today.

Blake Lapthorn ran the first successful series of 'green breakfasts' from October to December 2008, which was a result of its sponsorship of the Earth from the Air Exhibition at Oxford Castle.  The aim of the breakfasts was to encourage a discussion of issues and opportunities surrounding climate change.  The feedback from delegates at the last 'open forum' breakfast in December was positive enough for Blake Lapthorn to continue with another series in 2009.

The 2009 breakfast series kicks off on Wednesday 4 March with Barbara Hammond of South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) presenting on the work of SEEDA on climate change.  The seminars continue throughout March, April and May – covering such topics as renewable energy, the impact of climate change on planning applications and how to encourage colleagues to comply with sustainability plans.  At each breakfast there will be a short presentation by a leading authority on a 'green' topic followed by the opportunity for questions, debate and networking.

The green breakfasts will each start from 7.30 am at Seacourt Tower, Oxford, with the speakers presenting at 8.00 am.  The full seminar programme is listed below:
