rural professionals' breakfast seminar - crossing the line - resolving boundary issues

details

Our Agricultural and Rural group launched the first Oxford breakfast briefing on Thursday 1 March 2012 following a successful event in our Southampton office in November 2011. The guest speaker was Amanda Morris, who is a partner in Blake Lapthorn's Property Litigation team. Amanda co-authored Neighbour Disputes: A Concise Guide to the Law and Practice which is a practical guide to those seeking to resolve disputes between neighbours who are at war with each other – whether it be about boundaries, noise or some other irritant that has sparked neighbour rage.

To view Amanda's slides, please see below.  You will be able to download the slides by clicking the link. To view Amanda's accompanying notes, please click here.

The event was chaired by Nicola Boaden, associate in Blake Lapthorn's Agricultural and Rural group.

Amanda took a brief look at the issues affecting the rural land owner including the problems encountered when dividing farms and estates and other commonly encountered boundary matters such as rights of way, hedges, ditches and trees.
