Government plans £40 million fund to support charities working against poverty

A consultation is currently open on the subject of the Poverty Impact Fund, the £40 million government fund that will offer grants to charitable organisations that help to fight against poverty. Organisations with annual turnover of less than £500,000 will be able to apply for innovation grants of up to £250,000 to help them develop new ideas, and larger organisations will be able to apply for impact grants of up to £2 million.

Charities are being invited to respond to the consultation, which is open until 22 September and that aims to ensure that the fund meets the needs of its beneficiaries as well as possible.

If you would like to respond to the consultation, please email pifconsultation@dfid.gov.uk.
