The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has issued statements of objections in relation to 112 organisations in the construction sector it believes have been involved in bid-rigging and, in particular, in cover-pricing activities.

The organisations will now be able to make representations to the OFT before they decide on whether there has been a breach of competition law. If found guilty, the organisations could be subjected to fines of up to 10% of turnover.
