Our Restructuring and Insolvency group provides specialist advice and assistance to construction companies affected by insolvency issues. They act quickly for their clients, who range from sole traders to administrators of multinational companies.

Our nationally recognised specialists offer a full range of services within one team.

The non-contentious specialists are experienced in turnaround and re-financing, as well as the sale and purchase of businesses and assets in insolvency situations. We are fully aware of the consequences of formal insolvency upon construction contracts and the basis upon which certain contracts can be novated, and we are experienced in advising upon and lodging proofs of debt in both domestic and overseas insolvencies.

The contentious specialists have considerable experience across the board, from recovery actions for office holders to specialist applications within company administrations. We have knowledge of construction issues including adjudicator and arbitratror awards, and vast experience of winding up petitions, administration applications, CVAs and interim orders such as injunctions to restrain advertisement of petitions and the appointment of provisional liquidators in cases of high risk and urgency.

We can advise on proposals made by business partners and arrange representation at creditors' meetings. We also have a sophisticated contact network of insolvency practitioner accountants, surveyors and other professionals of suitable experience we can call upon, whether to assist our clients with their own difficulties or our creditor clients with securing appropriate appointments to ensure that their interests are protected throughout the insolvency of a business partner.
