We recognise that HEIs can encounter many barriers to engagement with the business community, including internal cultural and structural issues, and a failure of the private sector to appreciate how HEIs can assist. Overcoming these barriers becomes critical as government initiatives strive to measure the impact of HEI activity underpinned by Research Council grant award criteria.

knowledge transfer and exchange initiatives

We work closely with HEIs to develop the knowledge transfer / exchange agenda and maximise so-called 'third stream' revenue. This includes IP commercialisation and other knowledge transfer activities such as consulting, workshops, short courses, CPD, network events and other activities.

developing the entrepreneurship agenda

In response to the Government's push to develop closer links between the education community and business, we have been working with a number of institutions to help to build entrepreneurship into the HEI's culture. This work has included establishing and resourcing a student entrepreneurship clinic.
