casino law

We have taken a leading role in developing an
effective remedy of taking injunctive proceedings and asset tracing
actions on behalf of leading casinos against defaulting high
rollers. The work is often international and, by way of
example, last year we obtained a significant judgement in
the Appeal Court of Malaysia against a government
minister.
We also provide
non-contentious advice to the casino sector, assisting in licence
applications, advising on the siting of gaming machines, the
conduct of poker tournaments, the supply and regulation of casino
game monitoring software and a variety of other operational and
strategic matters.
In relation to internet
gambling, we represent a number of casino operators from different
jurisdictions and have advised on all manner of issues relevant to
the remote sector including payment processing, RNG testing and
approval, comparison of licensing jurisdicitions, social
responsibility, advertising foreign gambling, running poker
tournaments and many others.
We monitor relevant
international developments and have advised on the effect of the
Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act in the US and
the relationship to our own extradition laws.
