With over 50 dispute resolution specialists, we have acted in a
range of disputes for public bodies and/or involving public law
issues. We prosecute for the Southern Sea Fisheries District and
for the RSPCA, as well as a number of regulatory bodies. Expertise
includes Judicial Review Proceedings and Appeals in the Competition
Appeals Tribunal. We advise universities and colleges on student
relationships and disputes. We act for Local Authorities including
in relation to contractual issues and construction disputes.
We have acted in a significant contractual dispute between a
supplier and a government department. Blake Lapthorn is on the
Treasury Solicitor's Panel for Commercial and Property
Litigation.
In order to allow our clients to keep control of the litigation
process, we have developed a dispute management tool called

We also recognise that our clients will increasingly choose to
resolve their disputes using alternative methods of dispute
resolution. As well as expertise in adjudication, expert
determination and bespoke methods of alternative dispute
resolution, we have established our own nationally accredited
mediation service BL Resolve. Our expertise as mediators and in
the mediation process can help you resolve your dispute through
mediation.
