Our Public Sector group ran a series of seminars aimed at heads of planning and those involved in planning in local government. These seminars covered topical issues affecting local government authorities in relation to planning, such as:

  • the impact of climate change on planning
  • the South East Plan and how it effects the region
  • the Community Infrastructure Levy
  • green space and green infrastructure

Mike Kendall

Mike Kendall is head of the Local Government and Public Sector group at Blake Lapthorn.

 

Henry Gordon-Lennox

Henry Gordon-Lennox will talk about the implications of climate change and how the planning system has been tasked with tackling it. The Government's policy initiatives and how these will impact on day to day planning decisions will also be discussed. He also talked about the introduction of the Community Infrastructure Levy, how and when it is to be applied and the impact it will have when it comes to developing land.

 

Guthrie McGruer

Guthrie McGruer will talk about the recent adoption of the South East Plan, how it will affect Oxfordshire and what its requirements are in respect of Oxfordshire.
