Our recent dispute resolution experience includes:

  • acting for Fujitsu Network Communications in relation to separate claims in six different European jurisdictions in relation to the supply and installation of, in excess of US$35million, telecommunications infrastructure sourced for the establishment of a pan European network.  This pro-active step protected the client's 'firmware' embedded within the telecommunications equipment
  • representing a large investment bank in respect of a dispute concerning the ability of the bank to terminate certain specific services pursuant to an outsourcing agreement with an off-shore outsourcing services provider in India concerning the provision of essential front office trading systems
  • acting for a software house who had developed bespoke facilities management software and defending claims that the software did not possess the required functionality; contained several 'showstopper' bugs; and had not undergone an appropriate and/or sufficient testing regime
  • advising a financial institution on a detailed exit plan during the currency of a dispute with an off-shore outsourcing services provider to attempt to ensure the smooth transition of the services back in-house
  • representing a software developer in a claim against an Indian based sub-contractor in relation to the development of software packages for a third party
  • acting for an international IT management consultancy in relation to a dispute with a subcontractor
  • acting for a UK based IT outsourcing company in relation to the termination of managed IT Support Services contracts
  • acting for a software developer in relation to a confidential information dispute with a former employer in the High Court
  • acting for an IT software company in relation to a dispute regarding an assignment of software
