green breakfast, Oxford - Wednesday 12 October
2011
details
To kick start our Autumn series of green breakfasts we were
joined by Andrew Mitchell, founder and executive
director of the Global Canopy Programme. Andrew
looked at the role that this Oxford-based organisation has played
in the international arena and also looked at carbon and emerging
financing mechanisms for forests. To view Andrew's slides please
see below.
For those of you who haven't attended a green breakfast before,
the purpose of these events is to bring together people with an
interest in the environment to be informed in a relaxed setting
about key subjects linked to the issues posed by climate change and
climate variability.
Attendees include representatives from local government,
professionals, academics, social enterprises, charities and the
business community.
The breakfasts start from 7.30 am for something to eat and drink
whilst networking. The speakers start at about 8.00 am and finish
about 8.45 am. There is a lively Q&A following the speaker with
the whole event closing by 9.30 am.
