South Coast green breakfast - retrofit South East, the Whitehill Bordon Eco Town

Blake Lapthorn, B&Q and KPMG were delighted to welcome Paul Ciniglio, Sustainability Strategist for First Wessex as its speaker to the final in the first series of South Coast green breakfasts on Tuesday 22 May 2012.

We were joined by Paul Ciniglio, Sustainability Strategist for First Wessex.  Paul also works as a consultant on eco-housing in the Whitehill Bordon eco-town.  Paul's presentation provided:

  • an overview of carbon compliance standards for new housing according to the Zero Carbon Hub report recommendations from 2016
  • key learning from the ‘Retrofit South East’ project and a look at what has the least emissions, demolition and new build or retrofit housing?  
  • update on current projects and initiatives in the Whitehill Bordon eco-town
  • two year performance monitoring data from my own ‘Sunpower CO2ttage’ home retrofit
