Blake Lapthorn secures victory for client in Competition
Commission investigation
Blake Lapthorn has recently acted for a client in the
Competition Commission's investigation into the completed
acquisition by the client of a business, which had taken place in
January 2011.
After a five month investigation, the Commission gave final
clearance and concluded its investigation in December 2011, finding
that the acquisition had not and would not lead to a substantial
lessening of competition.
Partners Lawrence
Phillips(Corporate) and Richard
Portlock (Litigation and Dispute Resolution) led on the
investigation, assisted by solicitors Gemma Tominey, Alexander
Shirtcliff and trainee solicitor Lucy Morris.
