Elaine has over 20 years' experience in litigation and dispute resolution and she also specialised in media law. She leads the firm's Publishing sector group and is "recommended" in Legal 500 (2010) for media and entertainment (South East).
Elaine advises clients across a number of sectors on libel, slander, privacy, breach of confidence, pre-publication issues and reputation management and has experience of libel and privacy litigation. Clients include publishers, charities, technology companies and educational institutions, as well as individuals. Over the last few years, Elaine has been a regular speaker on defamation, reputation management and publishing law, as well as delivering bespoke training sessions for clients.
In 2002, Elaine was awarded an LLM in Advanced Litigation with distinction from Nottingham Law School. She joined the firm in 1996 from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain having first trained in the City with Norton Rose.
