employee morale and motivation - an employment lawyer's
perspective
details
Blake Lapthorn's Employment law team held a seminar on employee
morale and motivation at it's Chandler's Ford office on Thursday 17
November.
This seminar looked at the legal issues that impact on two
different aspects of leadership and motivation.
The first session looked at recent developments in handling
grievances and bullying. Pressurised workplaces can lead to stress
and bullying which destroys morale and squanders management
resources. We covered the employment law aspects of handling
grievances effectively.
The second session focused on actions to encourage loyalty and
commitment. We provided an employment law review of the positives
and pitfalls of benefits and flexibilities that are low cost but
high in motivation. To make this session particularly relevant we
asked attendees to provide information on what their business
currently offers or is considering offering. We then included as
many as we could (on a confidential basis) in the session's legal
review.
