The Government has launched its latest consultation, this time on the way fees will be charged for bringing claims in Employment Tribunals.
The new rates of Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP), and Statutory Paternity Pay (both Ordinary and Additional – OSPP and ASPP) and have been announced and will come into effect from April 2012.
The new limits on a week's pay for the purposes of statutory redundancy payments and unfair dismissal awards are set to take effect on 1 February 2012.
The Supreme Court confirms that an employee who is dismissed may not claim breach of contract for the manner of their dismissal.
An employee who asked to see notes of her interview for an alternative role was not taken to be challenging her redundancy scores, and was not entitled to the notes in the absence of any specific challenge.
