the natural choice in law
Debbie qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and joined Blake Lapthorn in 2004. Before completing her post-graduate studies in law, Debbie worked in both the public and private sectors and has experience of working in France, Austria and Japan.
Debbie regularly advises on disciplinary, dismissal and grievance issues, handling sickness absences and employee performance. She represents both employers and employees in employment tribunals and takes a particularly pragmatic approach to handling disputes. Debbie is also involved in drafting and reviewing documents such as employment contracts, staff handbooks and compromise agreements, and frequently offers guidance on restructuring, relocation and business sales and acquisitions.
Debbie is a trained teacher and has presented a number of training sessions on various aspects of employment law. She has also published articles in the business and national press on topical employment issues.
