Our experience includes
advising on internet, iTV, mobile and land-based gambling law and
we act for casinos, bingo halls, poker clubs, adult gaming centres
(AGC), family entertainment centres (FEC), betting offices and
almost every type of online/internet gambling, be it poker, casino,
bookmaking, betting exchange, bingo, skill gaming, pool betting,
quiz competitions, society or commercial lotteries.
Our land-based experience
includes obtaining operating licences and personal management or
personal functional licences from the UK Gambling Commission and
obtaining premises licences from the local licensing authorities.
In addition, we have specialist planning lawyers who can assist
with applications for specialist planning applications and
corporate and property lawyers who are experienced in acquiring
businesses and sites for the gambling sector.
Our remote gaming and
betting experience includes providing comparative advice on the
selection of jurisdiction whether it be within a European
Economic Area (EEA) territory, such as Malta or Gibraltar, a
white listed territory such as the Isle of Man or Alderney or,
elsewhere such as Curaco, Kanawake or Antigua. We can assist
regarding the US situation and the Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act or the Wire Act, and we keep abreast of European
gaming law cases (eg Gambelli, Plancanica etc) and other relevant
developments.
