Blake Lapthorn appoints new head of Insolvency and Business
Recovery team
Blake Lapthorn is pleased to announce the appointment of
Licensed Insolvency Practitioner Adrian
Owen as the new head of its Insolvency and Business Recovery (IBR) team.
Adrian will be responsible for heading up the team and for
continuing to develop its client base. In doing so, the team will
further complement its leading insolvency and business recovery
practice by building on the firm's existing capabilities, with a
particular emphasis upon work with banks, asset based lenders and
regulatory authorities.
Blake Lapthorn's IBR team comprises four partners and 15
full-time business recovery lawyers, with the full range of
services being provided to regional and national clients from the
firm's offices in London, Southampton and Oxford. The team is one
of the largest of its kind in the country, bringing together
solicitors skilled in all aspects of insolvency, restructuring and
business recovery work who regularly work with the firm's
specialist lawyers to provide tailored solutions for a wide range
of businesses.
Said Adrian: "We are excited about what lies ahead and I am
delighted to be taking over the team at a time when there are so
many new opportunities. We already have a strong team in place that
will be further strengthened over the coming months so that we can
not only continue to work closely with existing clients but also
develop new relationships and work streams."
Blake Lapthorn was one of only two firms to be rated in the top
tier for Restructuring and Insolvency in the South in Chambers
UK – A Client's Guide to the Legal Profession 2010, described
as having "top-flight expertise" and demonstrating a "consistently
excellent profile". In the same publication, appreciative clients
are reported as saying that Adrian "is very quick to respond and
always produces top-quality work."
Warren Foot, head of Blake Lapthorn's Finance
practice group, commented: "Adrian's wealth of specialist sector
expertise and existing profile makes him ideally placed to lead and
grow our Insolvency and Business Recovery team and take the
practice from strength to strength."
