Blake Lapthorn leads asset based lending debate at R3 national conference

Blake Lapthorn recently led a debate on the future of asset based lending for distressed businesses at R3's national conference for insolvency and business recovery practitioners.

Chris Willison, who heads the firm's Asset Based Lending (ABL) team, gave a well received talk at the recent annual conference of R3 (the Association of Business Recovery Professionals) held at Celtic Manor in South Wales.

Chris explored the theme of Asset based lending in the current market, with the aim of providing insolvency professionals with an overview of the live issues that face those providing asset based finance to distressed businesses.

The R3 conference is the leading event for insolvency and business recovery professionals and included contributions from high profile members of the insolvency profession, banking and other industry insiders and also, on this occasion, Michael Portillo, who provided his views of the state of coalition Government one year on.

Chris commented: "It was great to have the opportunity to properly explain the workings of the asset based lending industry to this impressive forum.  This is an area where I already work closely with colleagues in our Insolvency and Business Recovery team and I know that they value the opportunity to share my expertise and industry insight with their contacts."
