Jonathan Lloyd-Jones and David Evans are expert in the resolution of construction and engineering disputes (Jonathan being listed in Chambers UK: A Client's Guide to the Legal Profession as an expert both in construction and mediation), and both specialise in this area as mediators.

Construction disputes often involve a chain of disputing parties. Our mediators routinely handle multi-party mediations and have on one occasion dealt with five disputing parties and 26 representatives in the same mediation. BL Resolve has the resources to provide sufficient experienced lead and co-mediators to deal with complex issues and several competing interests.

BL Resolve provides mediators for all types of construction, engineering, development and planning disputes of any value, both within the United Kingdom and jurisdictions abroad. Typically mediations involve disputes between the 'employer' under construction contracts and their contractors, or disputes between contractors and their sub-contractors. However, our mediators also act for government bodies and procurement partners, consultants and all those involved at every stage of the construction process.

Our mediators are also available to act as 'partnering brokers' in construction disputes and will:

(a) advise upon, and monitor, dispute resolution provisions of partnering agreements, and

(b) chair dispute resolution meetings to identify issues and facilitate resolution of disputes under contract frameworks, so that proceedings might be avoided.
