Blake Lapthorn's dedicated Proceeds of Crime team specialises in
restraint and confiscation work, including civil recovery. The
Proceeds of Crime team regularly acts for receivers appointed by
the courts on the appliction of Revenue & Customs Prosecutions
Office, the Crown Prosecution Service, Serious Organised Crime
Agency and the Serious Fraud Office under the Criminal Justice Act
1988, Drug Trafficking Act 1994 and Proceeds of Crime Act 2002. The
team provides technical advice and litigation support to receivers
in relation to all aspects of the Proceeds of Crime regime,
including overseas asset recovery. The team also acts for individuals and companies who require advice on
the impact of restraint and confiscation orders.
