Fortunately in this country medical accidents are still rare, but they do occur.  Where the accident has led to avoidable injury and has occurred because a health care professional has breached the duty of care that they owe to their patients then a claim for clinical negligence can be pursued.

making a medical (clinical negligence) claim

Fortunately in this country medical accidents are still rare, but they do occur. Where the accident has led to avoidable injury and has occurred because a health care professional has breached the duty of care that they owe to their patients then a claim for clinical negligence can be pursued.

how we work

To investigate your claim we will take a statement from you. We will also obtain the medical records and speak to any witnesses.

We will then obtain independent medical evidence, and all of this will be used to assess the quality of the medical treatment that you received, and whether or not the healthcare professionals involved did meet their duty of care to you.

We will also carry out all the necessary investigations to assess the value of your claim, including any financial losses that you may have suffered.

We will advise you on the best way to fund your claim.

For more information, visit our funding pages by clicking here.

We can also represent you at inquests.

Generally clinical negligence claims have to be made within a three-year limitation period. This is a complex area of the law, but it is best to seek advice from us as soon as possible.

complaints against health care professionals

In some cases we may advise you that it may be better to pursue the NHS Complaints Procedure rather than pursuing a clinical negligence claim.
