Alison joined Blake Lapthorn in 1984 and on qualification built up the firms personal injury and clinical negligence practice.  Chambers UK, A Client's Guide to the Legal Profession, refers to Alison as "very effective" and she is a widely respected figure across the region.

Alison is a member of both Law Society and AVMA clinical negligence panels and conducts substantial litigation on behalf of claimants against NHS trust and doctors and healthcare practitioners in private practice.  In addition she prepares cases for prosecution before the various regulatory bodies in the health professions.  Alison has always had an interest in training and speaks regularly to audiences on a variety of healthcare related issues.
