cerebral palsy

A few facts:
- every year around 1,500 babies in the UK are born with or
develop cerebral palsy after birth
- each is affected differently so the help needs to be very
individual
- compensation can be claimed to help cover medical costs and
care but many people do not obtain these benefits because they are
unaware or think it will be too complicated, costly and time
consuming and need a helping hand:
Our solicitors specialise in cerebral palsy
claims. We have many years of experience in helping people
deal with cerebral palsy, including friends and families who are
just finding out about the condition and are unsure of what to
do.
The service we provide is more than just legal
advice. Recognising a need for an information point, we set
up our helpline to give access to people and organisations that can
help you with queries, even if you have no intention to make a
claim.
The Helpline is a free service run by Sue
Jarvis, an experienced solicitor who has a medical background and
is a trained CAB Adviser. Sue has a special interest in
helping people with cerebral palsy, offering a caring approach to
exploring the opportunities for compensation, backed up with many
years of experience. Anyone is welcome to call Sue for an
informal chat.
There may be no time limit to pursuing a claim
but it is best to make enquiries as soon as possible so that you do
not lose entitlement to any benefits. The amount and
availability of compensation is under review by the government and
could change in the future.
It is likely that it will be no cost at all to you to pursue a
claim as Legal Aid is available in most cases, which as a firm with
a Legal Aid Franchise, we will be able to apply for on your
behalf.
