"'extremely smart, sensitive, professional,
conscientious' and very good at negotiating with the other side.
Peers say 'She explains facts and figures to clients so well.'"

2013)
“Irpreet was great to work with - full of knowledge,
ideas and enthusiasm. I thoroughly recommend her.”
“I instructed Irpreet to work on my behalf for a
personal and sensitive situation. From the outset Irpreet
demonstrated a high level of professionalism and integrity but also
a good degree of empathy and understanding. Although I hope to
never require the same service again, I wouldn't hesitate to use
Irpreet in any family law matter in the future. I would certainly
recommend her based on all aspects of my dealings with
her.”
Irpreet qualified in 2004 and joined the Family team in July
2008, primarily being based at the London office.
Irpreet deals with all areas of family law, including divorces,
helping clients agree on the finances and the arrangements for the
children and assisting unmarried couples when their relationships
break down. Clients have commented that her approachability and
straightforward manner help them through the emotion and legal
jargon and complicated procedures of dealing with their separation
and they believe that she will fairly fight their case with a view
to settling matters if possible.
Irpreet is becoming widely recognised for her specialism in dealing
with Asian clients who need family law advice but with a deeper
level of understanding of the cultural and religious considerations
that affect her clients. These issues include the return or wedding
jewellery and dowry, the impact of divorce proceedings within the
community, religious marriages and divorces, such as Nikahs and
Talaqs, particularly where one aspect may have been abroad.
Irpreet's sympathetic understanding of the particular impact of
divorce on her Asian clients teamed with her legal skill and
knowledge mean that she is fast becoming renown as an expert in
this niche area.
Irpreet is a member of Resolution and is also the resident legal
writer for the Asian Wedding Directory. She has written many
articles for other publications such as Asian Woman and the
Family Law Journal and presents a course to other lawyers
nationally on the 'Asian Aspects on Divorce, Ancillary Relief and
Children'.
