Experienced specialist Jane Longworth has joined leading law
firm Blake Lapthorn’ Family team.
Jane, who has 13 years’ experience, previously ran the
matrimonial practice at Trethowans law firm office in
Southampton.
Based with Blake Lapthorn’ Family team in Portsmouth, Jane will
provide valuable additional expertise to the south coast team led
by Joanne Houston.
Jane specialises in all aspects of relationship breakdown
particularly contested financial issues. She is an accredited
Resolution specialist in private child law and financial provision,
and sits on the Hampshire Resolution committee as a regional
liaison officer.
Christine Plews, head of Family at the firm, said: “We are

for clients.”
Blake Lapthorn has one of the largest dedicated Family law teams
in the South East, with practices based in Winchester and Oxford,
led by Simon Burge and Christine Plews respectively, as well as in
Portsmouth.
The firm’s Family practice offers advice across the full range
of family law matters, when relationships begin and end. The team
can assist with cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements. The team
has significant experience in dealing with all aspects of financial
matters and children issues, and has specialisms in international
issues, dealing with family-run businesses, farming, equestrian and
other rural activities.
