Karen qualified in 2007 and joined our Family team in Oxford in
April 2008. She specialises in Family law, handling each stage of
the divorce process from initial advice on how best to proceed and
drafting petitions through to negotiating complex financial claims
either by agreement or via the court based process. Karen is keen
to work closely with her clients to find the best solution, and
provides support and advice during negotiations and beyond. She
also advises on all aspects of cohabitee disputes and frequently
prepares agreements detailing the terms of any financial agreement
upon the breakdown of a relationship as well as advising and
preparing pre-marital agreements, co-habitation agreements and
assisting and advising clients on all issues concerning
children.
Karen is a committee member of Oxford Young Professionals
Society and member of Resolution and the woman's networking group -
the Athena Network. She speaks German having obtained a joint
honours degree in Law and German Law at university and outside of
work is currently developing and enhancing her language skills by
attending an evening course in German culture an society at
Oxford University. Karen also enjoys being a 'befriender' volunteer
with Age Concern.
