At Blake Lapthorn, we recognise that when relationships
break down, emotions can run high and trying to solve issues
can seem the hardest thing to do. This is where mediation can
help and it can provide a real alternative method to resolving
difficulties and disputes.
Mediation is a
private, impartial, solution-focussed process in which
parties meet to resolve issues without the need for recourse to the
courts.
Mediators will not provide legal
advice, but they do look to provide information and options to
help people come to resolve issues in ways which are effective for
them. Mediators are trained to help people reach agreements,
preserve relationships and make the best, most practical
arrangements for the future.
Through mediation we can provide help in
resolving disputes in the following areas:
- financial issues
- issues relating to children
- issues relating to challenging wills or seeking financial
provision on death.
