€130,000 compensation following tragic death in road
traffic accident in Spain
We recently acted for a family following the tragic death of one
of their sons in a road traffic accident in Spain. For a number of
reasons the claim for damages was brought in Spain. We were
able to recover damages in excess of €130,000.

Greece
Following a moped accident in Greece, Blake Lapthorn
solicitors acted for the client who, on appeal, was awarded

Blake Lapthorn recently acted for a passenger who was denied
boarding and assaulted during a luxury round the world cruise.
After a two day trial, £16,000 was awarded to the aggrieved
passenger.

cruise in Croatia - the claimant recovered damages where a bench
had not been properly secured to the deck of the boat and she

We have acted further to a number of helicopter crashes in the
USA. In one such case a client suffered injuries and we were able
to recover damages of around $250,000 plus costs.

fly and during one lesson was taken up by an inebriated flight
instructor. Unable to control the flight, the helicopter landed
with some force, throwing the student out - we were able to

swimming pool shower accident on holiday
A young boy had an accident on holiday in the swimming pool
shower - we successfully recovered damages for the personal injury
and scarring. We were also able to recover money for both parents
for loss of enjoyment from their holiday due to the accident.

Another young child cut their foot in a hotel swimming pool in
Spain - a successful claim was brought against the travel agent who

This sort of case can often lead to a disappointing amount of

Three families caught food poisoning whilst staying at a hotel
