94% rise in Suffolk motorists caught speeding during
one week

New figures released today by Suffolk police show that more than
260 motorists a day were caught speeding in a week-long campaign. A
combination of uniformed officers on mobile patrols and fixed
Suffolk Safety Camera Partnership cameras caught 1,848 between
21 - 27 April 2008. An average of 264 motorists were caught
speeding each day - a 94% rise on last year when 954 were
caught.
