road safety seminar, Southampton - 5 December

The Motoring Offences team at Blake Lapthorn has extensive experience and specialist knowledge in defending motorists charged with motoring offences such as drink driving, speeding and causing death by careless/dangerous driving. They also have experience assisting motorists whose driving licences have been revoked by DVLA on medical grounds.

On Wednesday 5 December, the Motoring Offences team provided a seminar, together with a leading driving school which operates speed awareness courses for the police and delivers corporate advanced driving training.

Blake Lapthorn's Motoring Offences team are very proud of their record in successfully defending clients when prosecuted for a road traffic offence, and helping them to achieve the best results possible. The seminar on 5 December was delivered by specialist lawyers and a leading driving instructor who regularly trains corporate drivers for a range of national businesses, whose licences are critical to their roles within their business.

The course covered:

  • road safety – speed awareness, corporate driving
  • drink driving
  • totting up
  • dangerous/careless driving.

The principal of WSM Driver and Instructor Training Consultants Martin Mullenger BA (hons) M.Inst.MTD, Dip DI , presented the seminar along with the head of the Motoring Offences team, Tim Williamson.

Martin is a grade 6 driving Iinstructor which is seen as an accolade within the driver training profession and is the highest grade awarded by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) the governing body of approximately 45,000 Approved Driving Instructors in the UK.

Having obtained a degree in driver education, Martin has a solid background of the driver training environment working and training with novice, experienced and company vehicle drivers. He also trains driving instructors at all levels and is a national speed awareness presenter.
