accident at work - case study

Our client was a welder and his duties required him to lift
heavy piping. His designated workstation was cluttered and no
lifting equipment was available, even though our client had made
numerous complaints about the situation.
In the course of his work, our client injured his wrist, having
to lift heavy pipe-work which should have been lifted by equipment.
As a result, he had to undergo arthroscopy and made a full recovery
within two and a half years.
outcome: Our client settled out of court for
£5,000.
