injuries sustained as a result of a violent attack - case
study

Our client was an agency nurse placed upon a ward where patients
had psychiatric illnesses, although she had no psychiatric training
or background.
She was assaulted by a patient and sustained minor cuts and
bruises. An earlier neck and shoulder injury was exacerbated and
our client developed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She was unable
to continue working and required counselling.
outcome: Our client settled out of court for
£32,500.
