slipping accident - case study

Our client was an Occupational Health Nurse Manager who slipped
and fell due to water on the cloakroom floor. As a consequence of
the fall, she sustained injuries to her neck, right arm and lower
back.
As a result, proceedings were issued. There was a risk that our
client could be made redundant and therefore the claim was stayed
for one year because a consequence of her injuries would have meant
she was unlikely to find alternative employment. She had
five more years to go until retirement.
Fortunately, her employment became secure.
outcome: Our client settled out of court for
£12,500.
