taxi accident to foreign tourist - case study

Our client, who normally lives in Germany, was travelling in the
back of a taxi wearing a seatbelt. The taxi was involved in a
collision with an unlit skip which caused our client to be thrown
out of the taxi onto the pavement. She suffered injuries to the
forehead, fractured vertebrae, some dental damage as well as some
anxiety concerning future travel.
As a result of her injuries, our client suffered pain and
discomfort for two - three months, as well as psychological
symptoms for four years.
outcome: Our client settled out of court for
£11,000.
