team profile

We offer a full service to our clients in the ever changing
world of town and country planning law. This ranges from
preparing planning applications and appeals, drafting planning and
highway agreements, advocacy at local development framework
inquiries, appeal hearings and inquiries, appearing in the
Magistrates’ Court to High Court litigation (including judicial
review), advising on enforcement issues and on all matters
involving listed buildings and Conservation Areas. We also
deal with compulsory purchase procedure and compensation.
The Planning team, described in Chambers UK: A Client’s Guide to
the Legal Professional Directory 2007 as ‘flourishing’ and
headed by Guthrie McGruer, acts for developers, landowners, local
authorities and third party objectors. It has experienced
planning lawyers who have worked in various local authorities and
have an in-depth working knowledge of the planning system in
England and Wales.
