compensation for victims of assault

In England, victims of crime can claim compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, regardless of whether the offender is identified or convicted. In other countries there may be similar national bodies from which you can claim compensation. We will be able to advise you about these schemes or whether you will need to bring your claim against an individual.

where can I bring my claim?

Usually the claim will be brought in the country where the offender lives, or where the incident occurs.  In some situations it is possible to bring the claim in the UK against the tour operator.

how quickly should I claim?

The laws on time limits vary from country to country, so we advise that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can ensure your claim is brought within any relevant time limits and your interests protected.

funding your claim – the best option for you

We will discuss all funding options with you, most personal injury claims can be persued at no cost to you. You may have legal expenses insurance on your travel insurance, house insurance, or on your car insurance. Trade union membership sometimes includes legal expenses insurance. Alternatively, your claim may be eligible for our ‘no win no fee’ arrangement.
